As we head into February we are beginning to see signs of life as the arrival of Pre-Spawn is here! Pre-Spawn is one of my favorite times of year to fish as opportunities for catching trophy bass are improving every day. The bass are beginning to feed up before they go on beds and start to spawn. Casitas has been planting trout, for those of you that are interested in learning to throw swimbaits this is the time to do it. We have been catching some nice double digit fish already this winter as evidence of our newly expanded trophy gallery pictures. From now until the end of spawn it is by far the Best time of year to go bass fishing and in consistancy with that fact this is also the busiest time of year for guiding. If you are truly interested in booking a trip with a great opportunity to catch numbers please schedule your trip ASAP as we will be booked solid in the heart of the spring time. We are catching some nice jig fish and beginning to see signs of shad starting to surface. The live bait bite during the spawn is one that you do not want to miss. For all of our regulars, yes that means it is officially time to come out of winter hibernation and start fishing again.
