Swimbaits101:

Attention: This course is not offered to local tournament anglers.

This 2 day course is designed for people who are proficient at using bait casting reels, as swim baits can not be thrown properly on spinning gear. If you truly desire to learn to fish for trophy bass this is the one you won't miss. Of all the techniques that I have learned, swim bait fishing was the most difficult to learn by trial and error. Swim bait fishing is a constantly evolving technique and my goal is to open your mind to the big bass mentality. I can show you how rewarding this technique can be and save you years of work by teaching you the where, what, why, when and how. One good day on the water fishing swim baits will change the way you look at bass fishing forever. The course covers swim baits anywhere from wood trout plugs to slow rolling Huddleston and Stockertrout in deep water. You will learn to properly rig stinger hook and a variety of techniques used for different swim baits.

Bass fishing boot camp from A to Z

This class is a 5 day on the water class that covers every technique that I have learned to date. These are tournament tactics that are the standard for Professional anglers. After this class you will have a working knowledge of why, when, where and how to use each technique listed below. Realize this complete list of techniques and lures took years of trial and error to get right. I continue to find new situations to apply variations of these techniques every day. Each lure has it’s own trigger or special trick that makes bass react. I will coach you through the subtleties and triggers to catching fish using each of these techniques:

Ron Cervanka

I was fortunate enough to win the California B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation Region-7 Angler of the Year title this past season, 2004. Throughout the five-tournament season, I weighed in a total of nineteen bass; thirteen of them caught on Huddleston Deluxe swimbaits. I owe a great deal of gratitude to Sean James for opening my eyes to the incredible world of swimbait fishing. Even though Sean did not win any tournaments during the 2003 season, he won the Angler of the Year title because of several second place finishes, all of which were accomplished by throwing trout imitating swimbaits.
