Current Report:
TIME TO START FISHING!
Date : 2008-08-28
We are on the backside of summer now and the bass are moving throughout the water column, feeding on shad. The last couple of weeks have produced consistently bigger class of fish. Almost every day you can have at least one shot at a G R E A T bass. 5lbs-10lbs plus. What I can say is that the fishing has become better and better since the lake traffic has been minimized. As we move into the end of summer and the beginning of fall, fish are starting to feed up before winter arrives. Late summer/early fall is my favorite time of year to fish, because the fish are feeding aggressively and looking for bigger meals. This time of year is sometimes called the second spring because the fishing can be that good. Fall patterns can be fished with a variety of techniques including, chatter baits, spooks, buzz baits, crank baits, spinner baits, drop shot, Texas rig, Carolina rig and Senkos. To everyone that had opted to subscribe to the newsletter stand by because we have some changes coming to the site. We will be posting live video footage from our trips on the site. Video is the only medium where the proof is undisputed. I will give you a first hand look at why socalbassfishing.com clients consistently catch more trophy bass, PERIOD. What is the difference? A versatile approach and understanding of seasonal big fish patterns is the key. Big bass don’t eat just one lure, the patterns are constantly changing, based on what, where, when and how the big bass are feeding. Most, “big bass anglers”, are one trick ponies, who only utilize a single technique to catch big bass like swim bait fishing or using live bait. Don’t get me wrong I love throwing swim baits and fishing live shad. The problem is that live bait is not always available and the bass are not looking for trout, except during the 4 months of the year the trout are being planted. So how do you catch big bass all year long? I don’t always have the answers, nobody gets them every day. What I can guarantee, is that once you are in my boat you will not have a better opportunity for a quality or quantity bass fishing experience in California.
